It's Friday
That's right... and I may have a job, and I may have shit to do, but
you know where this is going. In any case, being Friday, I have taken this time to reflect on my week... and I realize that I forgot to post this awesome clip of
Bush Slogans. I got it as an email, but the story I heard goes something like this:
Sometime in March the clueless folks who run the Bush-Cheney website put up a tool that allowed people to build a poster for their heroes, with any slogan they wanted. Naturally enough, more than a few citizens who are disenchanted with the prez took advantage of the opportunity before they figured out what was going on and closed down the site.
Plus, with Green Day on vocals, it's a jazzy little number... A must see!

All I Got Is Hookey
So, it's 11:00 PM and I'm just updating my blog... but I have an excuse. I played hookey from work today, so no surfing of the internet, no influx of information... just a whole lot of playing video games... I played some
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II and some more
Simpson's Hit and Run. Other than that, I did nothing. I didn't make my bed, didn't take a shower, nothing, nada, zip... but I did meet Meghan for
lunch and that's always fun... so now I'm off to hit the hay.

Video Games, Here I come!
If you know me, you know I love video games... playing them that is. But, now is my chance to change the video game industry forever!
The Game Initiative has this posted on their site:
How To Break Into The Game Industry - Los Angeles - May 8, 2004
Find out what it takes to get a job in the video game business. This program will provide an overview of the industry, identify technology trends and requirements as well as the qualifications and skill-sets that are in demand. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with industry insiders, including top recruiter Mary-Margaret.com, hiring managers from local game companies as well as network and meet with industry veterans.
So, now all I need is
$62.47 to register and
$236.70 for the plane ticket and I'm there. and I just have two words for you, "Hotel Schmotel!" That's right... I'm going to be a star, a big, bright, shining, video game-making star. And that's the news for today.

I'm On A Roll
Look at
me! Two postings in two days, now id I could only find something interesting to say. Well, never you mind. Today's good thing that happened to me was that I found the
trippiest adventure game on the Web. A friend of mine sent it to me via IM, but then I lost it. So today as I was going through the
Favourite Web Site Awards, I found it again. I highly reccomend that you try it out. It's badass, but bizzare. So that's the news from me. Now I'm off to play some
Simpson's Hit and Run. Doh!

Paved With Good Intentions
Two postings in the same week?! Unbelievable! I know, well, I've decided that I will update my blog more regularly, even if it is as simple as sharing something good that happened today... and today that thing was that Nintendo is going to produce 8, count 'em... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8
classic Nintendo games for the GameBoy. If that isn't good news, then I don't know what is... but in other news, I went to see a filming of
Jeopardy! this weekend... which was very cool, except they were filming Kid's Week... and nobody likes to watch little kids play Jeopardy. Plus, we had to sit through an hour long practice round that was hosted by
Jimmy, one of the
Clue Crew members (yeah, it's a tough job)... and he was horrible. But all in all, it was fun to see the show, laugh at the little kids as they picked their noses and did the "Jeopardy Dance." So, to see all the excitement, tune in on May 3 & 4 to see the two episodes we actually sat through, and maybe if you listen closely you can hear us complain about the little chitlins.
