San Andreas: Grand Tour
The New Gamer does a good job of putting together what they call the San Andreas: Grand Tour. It's not really a grand tour though, it's more of a collection of virtual Polaroids from a fictional road trip... all using the GTA engine as the medium. It's really pretty cool and does a good job of including those cliché photos that everyone takes and making the situations seem as real as possible. It only takes a few minutes to see the whole dealie, but it's well done. So go check it out and try to come up with something more productive to do with your version of San Andreas. (via Kotaku)

I'm a star, I'm a star, I'm a big, bright, shining star.
So maybe I'm not Dirk Diggler, that doesn't mean I can't be famous. I got my first post up over at DCist. It was about the big bucks that public officials in DC are making (based on the WaPost). And I attended their happy hour last night and am documented getting to know the DCist crew. Hopefully you'll see a lot more of me over there. But don't worry, the 4Bs will still be in action, scouring the Web for all things Blogtastic. Add DCist to your regular list of stops.

Boy band bonanza
What good are boy bands? No good at all in my opinion. But they are so absurd and cheesey that they are instant fodder for mockery, parody, and imitation. So, in that spirit, I give you two awesomely bad boy band lampoons: So enjoy these hot new tunes and look forward to some more holiday themed posts over the next week or so. Bam! (via MetaFilter)

Secret Codes in Your Local Pharmacy
Huh? What? Rob from Cockeyed.com has stumbled across an interesting conspiracy, so put on your tinfoil hat and get ready to hear about Hyper-RX Markup Language or the Drugstore Pricing Codes. Basically, what Rob discovered is that Longs Drug Stores in Sacremento display the wholesale cost of their goods on the shelves next to the retail prices. However, they do it with an alphabetic code instead of a numeric code. For example, ANT stands for 308, which means that a bag of M&M's has a wholesale price of $3.08. Interesting, huh? So how do you know what the letters stand for? Easy, CHARLESTON has 10 letters where C=0, H=1, and so on with N=0. But, he also discovered that other pharmacy's have codes. Walgreens for instances uses the letters BNRHCLEASU, which I propose can be re-arranged to be BRUSH CLEAN with B=0, R=1, and N=0. I sent him my theory to see if he could test it against the actual prices of some items at Walgreens. My mission is going to be to check out my local CVS to see if they have a code, and if so, what is their acronym. For more details vist Cockeyed.com and see his discription, it has tables, photos, and all that good stuff. But if you have a Walgreens around, check out my theory, and if you don't try to see if you can scare up some more codes. And, if you work at Walgreens, give me the inside scoop. Under my theory, BRUSH CLEAN provides these results:
Product Retail Price Walgreen's Code Wholesale Price?
Walgreen's Toothpaste $1.99 BNN $0.99
Pepsid AC $3.79 RHN $1.49
Cranberry Capsules $12.99 CHC $5.45
Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Kit $10.49 LEN $6.79
Phisoderm Cleanser $5.29 RAE $1.87
HoMedics Soft Pillow $9.99 HSL $4.36
Refresh Plus Eye Lubricant Drops $14.99 AAU $8.82

World Mouseclicking Competition!
We all know that you can point-and-click, but how fast of a clicker are you? Well, now you can find out over at the World Mouseclicking Competition! You get 10 seconds to click a button as quickly as you can. It's simple, it's useless, and it's not really much of a competition, since it doesn't show anybody else's score, but it does give you a scale to measure up against. So see if you can break the 70 mark. I've tried a bunch of times and consistently get in the mid 60s but I can't seem to break 70. But I swear, as the Internet as my witness, I will break 70. New Apple Signature iPods
In light of the success of U2's signature iPod, Apple has just released a whole new line of Special Edition Signature iPods, from Coldplay to Snoop Dogg:
Hootie & the Blowfish
C'mon and help Hootie out. The bank is totally gonna foreclose on the crappy beach house they live in together unless you buy one of these things, man.
P. Diddy
Allows users to recreate P. Diddy's "creative process" by having the iPod search your MP3's for old popular hit songs, lay a generic half-assed rap over them, and then call it new material.
There are 14 more for your viewing pleasure, so go check out the new signature iPods over at LIEBography. (via Daily Refill)

Seconds of madness
Seconds of madness is a fun flash game where you surf down a three-dimensional tube and try to avoid the obstacles that get in your way. I can only manage a high score of around 135 points, which is about 30 seconds of surfing. I'm sure you can do better. The real danger of this game though, is that it plays so quickly. You'll find yourself saying, "One more game." But after you say it a few times you'll understand that you've wasted an hour and all you have to show is a high score of 135 points. But enjoy and I'll try to dig up some good things for the rest of the week.
