Don't watch whales from kayaks 
Whales are great. They are big and gentle (most of the time). They are a lot like dolphins. However, I would strongly advise against playing with wild killer whales in your kayak. But don't take my word for it, take this Japanese tourists rendition of what happens when killer whales jump in your kayak. It's a cool 2 mb mpeg that I'm sure you'll enjoy.
